Insist on robust GMO regulations

GM Freeze has published a Manifesto for a responsible, fair and sustainable food system. Please download and send a copy to the candidates asking for your vote in the 2019 General Election, then let GM Freeze know (info[at]gmfreeze.org) how they respond.

GM Freeze is asking candidates in the 2019 General Election to commit to:
* Protection for people, animals and the environment, through robust GM regulations that allow the use of GMOs in food and farming to be properly scrutinised by politicians and the public.
* A fair deal for farmers, beekeepers, growers and everyone in the food chain, with protection from contamination and clear financial liability for any harm done by growing or using GM crops.
* Informed choice for everyone through clear labelling of food produced with GM ingredients or from GM-fed animals.

You can find out who is standing in the election in your area on the Who Can I Vote For? website or look out for leaflets from the candidates in your letterbox.

If anyone knocks on your door to ask about the election, or if you are able to attend hustings events, do mention GM and print out a copy of the manifesto for them to take away.

Whatever contact you have with local candidates or campaigners, please let GM Freeze know what response you get by emailing info[at]gmfreeze.org.
